What is League Gymnastics?
The League Gymnastics Program at Bronco
Elite offers girls ages 5 and up, at all skill levels,
a chance to be part of a gymnastics team. No gymnastics
experience is required so feel free to invite your friends!
Teams practice together, learn new skills, prepare routines,
and compete in a series of fun, informal competitions
against other teams from Bronco Elite. Through League,
girls are learning not only about gymnastics, but also
about teamwork, performing in front of an audience, and
self-motivation.
Are
teams organized by skill level?
Yes! We currently have three skill
divisions, which are designed to match our development
curriculum:
- League 1- for Beginning and Advanced Beginning
Gymnasts (5 and up)
- League 2- for Intermediate gymnasts
- League 3- for Advanced Athletes
When do League Teams practice?
- League 1- 1 hour
2 times per week
- League 2- 1.5 hours 2 times per week
- League 3- 2 hours 2 times per week
When are League meets?
League runs two season per year:
The Fall season runs September through December and
the Spring season runs April through July. Students
learn new skills, put together their routines, and prepare
for the meets. Then, there are four regular season meets
in which all teams compete. Meets will be held on Saturday
mornings at Bronco Elite.
What is a League meet like?
Parents, grandparents, friends and
neighbors are all encouraged to attend League meets!
This is your child's chance to show everyone what he
or she has been practicing in the gym. Teams compete
against one other team at each meet, and team awards
are given at the conclusion of the meet. No individual
awards are presented, so the kids can go out and have
fun without worrying about individual scores. We encourage
the gymnasts to cheer for their teammates and other
teams, so the meets are exciting while providing a supportive
atmosphere for everyone! League meets give the gymnasts
a huge confidence boost that increases their motivation
and progress.
How much does League cost?
Since all teams practice two times
per week, monthly tuition is the same as regular two
times per week tuition ($74.00 for League 1, $89.00
for League 2, and $112.00 for League 3). There is also
a League Team fee due at the beginning of each season.
This fee covers the additional expenses of the League
Program, including gym space and equipment for meets,
coaching and judging costs, and awards. The Team fee
various each season on how many gymnasts are enrolled
in League at that time. A team uniform will also need
to be purchased.
What is the difference between
League and USAG teams?
The League Gymnastics Curriculum
is designed to teach girls and boys strong basic skills
and prepare girls and boys to join the USAG team program.
Competitive USAG teams at Bronco Elite are designed
for those athletes interested in making a greater commitment
to the sport in a more serious workout environment.
Athletes who successfully complete the Division AAA
curriculum will be well prepared for the USAG team program.
